I spent a week painting in Grand Canyon, Arizona, one of the seven wonders of the world.  This magnificent site was intriguing, intimidating, exhilarating and the most awesome site I had ever seen.  The majestic views, in any direction, the roaming elks and mule deer bring so much joy and astonishment to visitors from around the world.

The moment I saw the canyon, the first thought was "where do I start?".  Then I began to take it all in and not think and just be amazed by what I was seeing in front of me.  The sound of ravens, the almost extinct California condors, with wing span of 10 feet, gliding through the air, the sun setting nearly 18 miles across the Hopi point and the ever changing colors throughout the canyon, made me realize who was really in charge.

I will be painting several pieces of this magnificent creation.
